Want to bring my drone on the NC500 for some aerial shots. What are the rules in Scotland? Are there restricted areas I should know about?

You need a CAA Flyer ID and Operator ID. Don't fly near wildlife colonies (especially Handa Island), keep away from people, and check NOTAM restrictions. Some NNRs like Beinn Eighe ban drones entirely.

Please, please don't fly drones near nesting birds. I've seen people buzzing puffin colonies and it's awful. The birds abandon their nests. Stick to landscape shots away from wildlife.
