As a coffee snob stuck on the north coast, I've done the research. Where can you get a genuinely good flat white between Ullapool and Thurso? No instant coffee suggestions please!

The Bluebell Cafe in Lochinver does surprisingly good coffee. And that coffee van that sets up at Achmelvich car park in summer is excellent - proper barista setup.

Balnakeil Craft Village (where Cocoa Mountain is) has a wee cafe that does proper coffee. Not the best flat white of my life but respectable for the far north!

Honest answer? Get yourself an AeroPress and a good thermos. Coffee infrastructure north of Ullapool is patchy at best. Embrace it as part of the adventure.
