Best campervan hire companies near Inverness?

Looking for recommendations for campervan hire around Inverness. Need something for 2 adults for a week. Budget around 800-1000. Who have you used and would you recommend them?

Highland Campervans in Inverness are excellent. Really well-maintained vehicles and the owner gives you a proper briefing on the route, including tips on where to park overnight.

We used Spaceships from Edinburgh and drove up. Slightly cheaper and the vans were decent. Not luxury but everything worked and the beds were comfy enough.

Whatever you do, check the insurance excess carefully. Some of the budget hire places have a 2500 pound excess which would ruin your trip if you clip a wing mirror on a single track road.

Slightly different suggestion - Quirky Campers has privately-owned vans you can hire. Each one is unique and they tend to have more character than the big hire companies.
